From the docks near the Wayzata Depot, the view toward Minnetonka Boatworks is framed by gathering storm clouds. A faint drizzle dots the surface of Wayzata Bay, while flashes of distant lightning highlight the darkening sky. Thunder rolls gently across the water, more of a distant murmur than a roar, as the breeze carries the cool scent of rain.
The quiet streets of downtown Wayzata felt almost untouched by the approaching storm. A few leaves rustled in the breeze, but most shops remained calm and still. However, Josefina Cafe and the Thirsty Whale were notable exceptions, buzzing with morning activity.
