If you’ve ever dreamed of leaving it all behind to chase the horizon, Mark and Sara Godfrey have a story to tell that will leave you spellbound.
On March 27, the Wayzata Yacht Club invites you to embark on a high-seas adventure—without ever leaving shore. As part of the club’s Wanderlust series, the Godfreys will take the audience on a journey spanning nearly a decade of sailing through some of the most breathtaking waters in the world.
In 2015, the couple set sail from Florida aboard their trusty vessel, Dué, with a sense of adventure as their compass. Since then, they’ve navigated the sparkling blues of the Bahamas, wound their way through the remote islands of the Turks & Caicos, explored the Eastern Caribbean, and drifted through the ABC Islands off the northern coast of South America. Their voyage didn’t stop there—they ventured through the Panama Canal, marveled at the natural wonders of the Galápagos, and immersed themselves in the rich culture of French Polynesia. And with their love for exploration still as strong as ever, their journey is far from over.
The Wanderlust series, presented by the Wayzata Yacht Club Membership Committee, celebrates the incredible adventures of local sailors who have turned their dreams into reality. This particular evening promises thrilling tales of ocean crossings, breathtaking landscapes, and the joys and challenges of life at sea.
The event will be held at the Wayzata Yacht Club, 1100 Eastman Lane, at 6:30 p.m. on March 27. Whether you’re an avid sailor, an armchair traveler, or someone who simply enjoys a good adventure, this is an evening you won’t want to miss.
So come aboard, let your imagination set sail, and get ready to wander with the Godfreys.
