A long-standing tradition of sweet generosity is making its return. Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day is set for Tuesday, April 8, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., giving ice cream lovers a chance to enjoy a free scoop of their favorite flavor—no strings attached.

A statement from the store read, “It’s Back! Free Cone Day! April 8th from 12:00-8:00pm. Cannot wait to see you!”

The Wayzata Ben & Jerry’s, located at 539 East Lake Street, will once again be participating in the event, welcoming the community to stop by for a complimentary cone.

Free Cone Day has been a staple of the Ben & Jerry’s brand since 1979, when company founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield first introduced it as a way to thank their loyal customers. Now celebrated worldwide, the event serves up millions of scoops each year, drawing long lines and plenty of enthusiasm.

The Wayzata scoop shop, locally owned and operated, is well-known for its community involvement, offering catering services, ice cream cakes, and event-friendly treats. Free Cone Day provides an opportunity for both longtime fans and new visitors to experience what has made Ben & Jerry’s a household name for decades.

Popular flavors such as Cherry Garcia, Phish Food, and The Tonight Dough are expected to be among the choices available, though availability may vary. Customers are encouraged to arrive early and be prepared for a fun and lively atmosphere.
