“The Wayzata boys hockey team saw its season come to an end in the Section 6AA Final, falling to Edina by a score of 4-1. It’s the third year in a row that the Trojans have come up one game short of a trip to the Class AA state tournament, losing to Edina in all three section finals. The Hornets scored on a goal from Bode McConnell in the first period. Wayzata responded in the second off a Chris Pyle goal. Edina then scored three unanswered goals in the third; two from Mason West and one from Freddie Schneider to earn the 4-1 win. Wayzata finishes its season with a 16-9-3 record. It’s the 37th trip to state for Edina.” via CCX Media.
