Scene in Wayzata: First Snowfall of the Season Hits Wayzata on Halloween (video)

Wayzata saw its first snowfall of the season today, as flakes began to fall around 10 a.m. following a night of heavy rain. Residents watched the landscape transform as snow gradually blanketed the town, coating rooftops, trees, and the lakefront in a soft layer of white.

This early taste of winter had many bundling up and taking extra precautions on wet, chilly roads, with temperatures hovering just above freezing. Though light for now, this initial snowfall is a reminder that Minnesota’s winter season is fast approaching, bringing with it the promise of more snow-filled days ahead.
