Champlin Park Edges Wayzata 3-2 in Top Ten Volleyball Match

“In a match-up of two top ten teams, the Champlin Park volleyball team defeated Wayzata in five sets Tuesday as the top-ranked Rebels improved to 19-2 on the season. Champlin Park won the first two sets 25-22 and 25-21 and had three match point opportunities in the third set before Wayzata rallied. The Trojans, ranked eighth in Class AAAA, came back to win 30-28 in Set 3 and won the fourth set 25-18 to extend the match to a fifth and deciding set. Wayzata led much of that set including at 13-11 before the Rebels scored the final four points of the night to win. Wayzata is now 17-9 on the season.” via CCX Media.
