Wayzata Trojans Gearing Up for a Packed Week of Sports Action!

Hey, Wayzata sports fans! It’s shaping up to be a thrilling week for our Wayzata Trojans, with games, meets, and matches all across the Twin Cities. Whether you’re a soccer aficionado, a volleyball enthusiast, or just love the spirit of high school athletics, there’s plenty to cheer for from September 30th to October 6th. Here’s a breakdown of what’s happening and when, so you can plan to get out there and show your Trojan pride!


Monday, September 30th

  • Adapted Soccer at Centennial
    Kick off the week with our Adapted Soccer team as they take on Centennial. This team showcases incredible heart and teamwork, and it’s always a joy to watch them play.
  • Girls Tennis at Maple Grove
    The Girls Tennis squad travels to Maple Grove for what promises to be an exciting match. Let’s hope the team serves up some big wins on the court! The squad beat Breck last week, and you can learn more here.

Tuesday, October 1st

  • Boys Soccer at Hopkins
    Our boys hit the road to Hopkins for what should be a nail-biting soccer match. This is a great chance for the Trojans to make a big statement as the season heads into its later stages.
  • Girls Soccer at Hopkins
    Right after the boys, the girls team takes on Hopkins as well. Expect a fast-paced and competitive match from these talented athletes.
  • Girls Swim and Dive hosts Edina
    If you prefer your sports poolside, head over to Lifetime in Plymouth, where the Girls Swim and Dive team will host Edina. The atmosphere will be electric as these strong swimmers look to make waves against their biggest rivals.
  • Girls Volleyball at Hopkins
    Rounding out Tuesday, our Girls Volleyball team (12-7-0) is away at Hopkins (5-8-0) for what should be a great matchup, and dropping a touch match at Maple Grove. Let’s send them all the good vibes for a win!

Wednesday, October 2nd

  • Boys and Girls Cross Country at St. Michael-Albertville
    It’s a big day for both the Boys and Girls Cross Country teams as they lace up their running shoes and take on St. Michael-Albertville. Expect some strong performances as our Trojans push through the fall weather and strive for top times!

Friday, October 4th

  • Wayzata Football at Prior Lake
    Friday Night Lights, anyone? The Wayzata Football team (2-3) travels to Prior Lake (1-4) for what promises to be an intense game. The Trojans beat a very very good Eden Prairie Eagles team last Friday night, you can read about the game and watch highlights here.
  • Girls Volleyball at St. Michael-Albertville
    Our Girls Volleyball team is back in action on Friday, this time facing St. Michael-Albertville. Two matches in a week can be tough, but this group is resilient, and we’re all rooting for them!

Saturday, October 5th

  • Boys Soccer at Cretin-Derham Hall
    The Boys Soccer team wraps up the week with an away game at Cretin-Derham Hall. It’s always a competitive fixture when these teams meet, so don’t miss out on what promises to be an exciting match!
  • Girls Volleyball at St. Michael-Albertville
    One last showdown for the Girls Volleyball team, as they compete at St. Michael-Albertville in a weekend battle. Let’s hope they finish the week on a high note!

It’s going to be an action-packed week, Wayzata fans, with plenty of opportunities to get out there and support our Trojans.
