The Wayzata Trojans Girls Gymnastics team has closed out their regular season on a high note, boasting a stellar 5-1 Lake Conference record under the leadership of Head Coach Carley Holden.

The team’s determination and skill were evident in their recent victories, including a standout performance against Edina.
Originally scheduled to compete away on January 30th, the meet was relocated to Wayzata High School due to equipment issues.

Even with the venue change, the Trojans stayed focused, aiming for success in their conference matches.
Remarkably, they matched their season-high score, showcasing their resilience and commitment.
“We wanted to ensure that our last conference meet was enjoyable and successful,” said Coach Holden. “Despite the unexpected venue change, our team rose to the occasion.”

One of the key highlights of the meet was the Trojans’ proficiency on the beam, an area where they had encountered challenges in previous competitions.
Both the Junior Varsity and Varsity squads delivered stellar performances, executing their routines with precision and confidence.
Mikaela Lundvall achieved a career-best score of 9.35 on the uneven bars and a 9.3500 on her floor routine. Ashley Mouyenga scored 8.9250 on the vault, and Kylie Ufheil scored a 9.0500 on the beam.
