Wayzata Boys Hockey now 5-0, ranked #2

Your #2 ranked Wayzata Trojans Boys Hockey Team has started the season by winning 5 games in a row, winning 6-1 over Moorhead and 6-4 over Maple Grove at the PIC Turkey Trot Tournament right after Thanksgiving.

More recently they beat Duluth East 6-0 at home, won 5-2 at Hill-Murray, and beat Andover 6-2 on their home Ice on Saturday December 9th.

Team leaders this season

Rhys Wallin has 7 goals and 5 assists so far this season. Luke Miller has 6 goals and 1 assist. Brittan Alstead has 4 goals and 11 assists, Brooks Gengler has 3 goals and 5 assists, and Jake Mattson has 3 goals and 6 assists. Goalie Evan Turek has 51 saves and 5 goals allowed on 56 shots on goal. Gage Alstead has 15 saves, has allowed 4 goals, on 19 shots on goal.

Pat O’Leary recently notched his 200th win as the Head Coach of the Wayzata Boys Hockey Program, one of which was a State Championship in 2016.

The Trojans host Benilde St. Maragret (4-0) on Thursday December 14th at the PIC. Benilde beat #3 ranked Edina 3-1 in early December.
