Plymouth Family Recalls Son’s Cardiac Arrest on Wayzata Football Field

Plymouth resident Norm Okerstrom trains people on how to perform CPR and use an AED and is part of the Heart Safe Plymouth program. His passion for training people to learn lifesaving techniques comes after his son, Teddy, suffered cardiac arrest as a 16-year-old at a Wayzata football practice 13 years ago. Teddy survived. To date Okerstrom has helped train more than 7,000 residents in lifesaving techniques.
