Wayzata football over Farmington 27-14 in regular season finale

Deyon Loveless scored 3 touchdowns, 2 rushing and 1 receiving

Your Wayzata Trojans football team traveled to Farmington last evening to take on a pesky Tiger team.

Wayzata allowed a Farmington touchdown on the first possession, as Tiger QB Josh Berreth found wide receiver Brock Wyandt in the end zone to make it 7-0 early in the first.

Wayzata fumbled the ensuing kickoff, giving Farmington a short field and the Tigers capitalized as Jonathan Shrum rushed for a 5 yard touchdown to make it 14-0 midway through the 1st.

Wayzata responded in four plays as Trojan QB Cole Heilbrun hit speedster Tyler Milkes in stride for a 50 yard touchdown scoring play to make it 7-14 in favor of the Tigers.

In the 2nd quarter, Heilbrun found Wayzata running back Deyon Loveless open for a 25 yard pass completion for touchdown to make it 14-14.

Loveless would score two more TD’s in the game, one for 10 yards and one for 81 yards, making the final score Wayzata 27, Farmington 14.

Wayzata will start Section play next week.
