It’s June and time for the best annual summer kick-off party on Lake Minnetonka–Wine On Wayzata Bay 2019. This event, supports Wayzata Sailing’s programs, scholarships and the new Mike Plant Community Boathouse. The whole fast paced evening is a little Jimmy Buffet meets Martha’s Vineyard. It’s a great time on the shores of Wayzata Sailing and Wayzata Yacht Club with boat Rrdes, a grand tasting presented by Wayzata Wine & Spirits, music by Rebel Fiddle, great appetizers from Benedicts, KIPS and Mill Valley Kitchen and more.
A true signature of the event is our “Pirate’s Dozen Treasure Chest Raffle” where our specially chosen 18 items range all the way to priceless and include jewelry, experiences and wine of course! Raffle tickets to play are only 10.00 each. Most of all you can’ beat the view and incredible photo ops you’ll enjoy!
The event starts at 5:00PM with a VIP party and tour of the new Mike Plant Community Boathouse name in honor of Mike Plant, a local boy who learned to sail on Lake Minnetonka and became America’s first single handed yachtsman to sail around the globe 3 times. At 6:30PM a 100 year-old canon will BOOM! and the Grand Tasting will lead the way to terrific evening of fun!
