In the spirit of never ending construction here in Wayzata, this notification just came across the wire!
Wayzata Public Works staff has been informed that the BNSF railroad will be making repairs to the concrete crossing panels at the Arlington Street crossing on May 3. This work will require a one day closure on May 3. Advanced notification signage will be placed on April 27, at the crossing, to inform motorists of the upcoming closure. During this closure, traffic will be routed via Crosby Road. A copy of Wayzata’s detour is linked here.
BNSF will then be replacing the RR crossing on Crosby Road, in Minnetonka on May 4 & 5. This work in Minnetonka will close Crosby Road, at the crossing for two (2) days. Minnnetonka will not be having a formal detour. Those south of the crossing will be directed to Eastman/McGinty to get to downtown Wayzata or Minnetonka Blvd. Those north of the crossing will be directed to Wayzata Blvd. to get to Hwy. 12 or I-394.
