Wayzata.com reported on the Wayzata Boulevard reconstruction project earlier this week in which a majority of submitted comments were in favor of including medians as part of the plan.
Here is a quick update from City Manager Al Orsen this morning regarding the project:
- The current resurfacing project is budgeted for $1.6 million
- Adding medians will cost an additional $700,000
- Maintaining the medians with weeding, feeding, and irrigation may run $15,000 per year
- The City has recently cut back in staff in this particular area
The item is likely to be discussed at the upcoming Council meeting scheduled for July 19.
