The Ice was declared out on our favorite body of water, a famous Wayzata Alumni visited from Ohio, the Wayzata City Council wrestled with budget cuts, and much much more.

- Sunsets Ice out Party Schedule for April 21st at 7:00 p.m. Featuring Kilo Kai Rum, Live Music from the David K Band, a winner of the Ice Out Contest, and Wayzata.com.
- The Ice on Lake Minnetonka was officially declared out last Monday at 6:42 p.m on Monday April 13th, 2009. Watch a video from early Tuesday morning proving so.
- James Laurinaitis was the Keynote Speaker at the Spring Prayer Breakfast to Benefit IOCP on April 17th, 2009 at 7:00 a.m. James is a Wayzata Alumni, a senior at Ohio State, and is expected to be drafted into the NFL in the first round this week.
- The Wayzata Historical Society presented the History of Meyer Bros. Dairy to a standing room only crowd in the Wayzata Community Room last Tuesday night. See the Meyers Family and Employees in a video, and watch for the presentation on Wayzata Community TV.
- The Wayzata City Council met last Tuesday for a Budget workshop to address the $300,000 shortfall currently facing City Hall. Mayor Ken Willcox gives us his two cents on what may be on the chopping block.
- WAYZATA GIRLS LACROSSE 2009: Trojans Win Fourth Straight. The Wayzata girl’s lacrosse team moved to 4-0 on the season with a 12-8 victory over Minnetonka on Thursday evening.

The Wayzata Baseball and Softball Teams climbed above .500 this weekend. Sports reporter Matt Thomas fills us in on all the action.
