Minnesota Association of Dance Teams Honors Wayzata High Dance Team and Coaches

The Minnesota Association of Dance Team (MADT) is proud to recognize Wayzata High School for their exemplary Sportsmanship. Meghan Hutton was named Class AAA Co-Head Coach of the Year.

According to MADT President, Jennifer Steenberg, “These teams deserve special recognition for demonstrating incredible sportsmanship this past year. Their coaching staff should also be commended as they work hard everyday not only to teach the sport, but to teach the fundamentals of fairness and respect for their teammates as well as their opponents.”

2009 Head Coach of the Year – Meghan Hutton has been coaching for about 15 years. She is a master at figuring out complex formations and has an incredible ability to critique the team’s choreography. She has an excellent rapport with staff and the athletes and has a positive way to motivate the dancers to do their best. As a coach, she always puts an emphasis on what we are doing as a team and how to make ourselves better. She cares about each student who is in her program, and seeks to get the best out of everyone of them. Her passion for dance extends beyond her own team as she is a deeply committed professional who sets high standards for herself and for those around her. Meghan Hutton from Wayzata is this years Class AAA Head Coach of the Year.
