Feather Your Nest home furnishings Closing April 3rd, 2009

In another blow to Wayzata retailers, Feather your Nest home furnishings will be closing it’s doors April 3rd, 2009. “We are having a going out of business sale.” said shop owner Alicia Ringstad.

The European importer of antique furniture, gifts and decor has been in business for 12 years. When asked why now, Ringstad replied that her lease is up, “and I didn’t want to sign a lease right now. If business had been really booming, I might have considered it. But it’s not–It’s not terrible, I mean we are luckier than most. …but it’s definitely down. I thought this is just not the time to be starting a five year lease. I truly believe [the economy] is going to get worse. So I just decided to close.”

When asked about her going out of business sale, Ringstad anwered, “We are stuffed, and still have a lot of merchandise. We are going to run a liquidation sale until everything is gone. The newer items are 30-40% off. We have a lot of antique furniture from 20-70% off.”

Stop by at 1250 E. Wayzata Blvd., The store is open 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon.-Sat 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sundays. 952-249-8298
