WAYZATA PUBLIC SCHOOLS: Board Approves Open Enrollment Recommendations

From Wayzata Public Schools:

At its February 9 regular meeting, the school board of Wayzata Public Schools approved the administration’s recommendation on open enrollment for the 2009-10 school year.

The board approved the following open enrollment actions for next year:

  • Close any grade level at the high school with an enrollment exceeding 800 students
  • Close any grade level in the middle schools with an enrollment exceeding 775 students
  • Close any grade level at the elementary level with an enrollment exceeding 750 students
  • Individual elementary buildings may open kindergarten, first and second grade where they have space.
  • Plymouth Creek Elementary is closed to open enrollment.

The size of the kindergarten classes will be re-evaluated after kindergarten round-up.
