The Wayzata boys basketball team overcame a six-point halftime deficit on Tuesday night to top to the Minneapolis Patrick Henry Patriots 79-78.

For the second straight game, senior guard Jamar Franks (Pictured on left) scored 27 points to lead the way for the Trojans. Franks scored an identical 27 points on Jan. 30 when the Trojans beat Minnetonka 86-78.

Seniors Kellen Taylor and Jerrod Peterson also scored in double figures on Tuesday night as Taylor scored 17 points, while Peterson added 16.

The Trojans have now won five straight games and are 15-2 on the season. They will now have a week to prepare for their biggest test of the season: the #1 ranked Hopkins Royals.

The Royals (16-0) erased any doubts that they are the best team in the state this year when they dismantled the previosuly unbeaten Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks 100-78 on Tuesday night.

The Trojans and Royals will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 7:15 p.m. at Hopkins High School.
