2009 WHS Gala planned March 7
The Wayzata High School’s fifth annual Gala will be held Saturday, March 7 at the Sheraton Minneapolis West/Ridgedale hotel.
The 2009 Gala will have a new format with a two-hour bidding window for the silent auction and appetisers served all evening.
According to Gala organisers, the current economic situation makes this year’s Gala more important than any other time. There are more than 2,000 students who participate in the wide variety of programs available through arts, activities and athletics at Wayzata High School. The fund-raising that takes place at the annual Gala helps to control costs for these programs, prevents the cancellation of activities and provides financial aid to students who could not otherwise afford to participate.
The Gala is a tax-deductible 501-(c)(3) charitable organisation and is accepting both cash donations and silent auction item donations. For more information, contact WHS building secretary Kathy Beatty at 763-745-6601 or WHS Principal Mike Trewick at 763-745-6610.
