In a statement made earlier today, Wayzata Police Chief Mike Risvold addressed a recent burglary attempt in the Holdridge area, shedding light on the incident that unfolded in the Hollybrook neighborhood.
According to Chief Risvold, the burglary occurred between December 12 and December 20 in the quiet town of Wayzata.
The perpetrator(s) forcibly entered a residence by breaching a locked front door. Remarkably, despite the unlawful entry, preliminary investigations reveal that nothing appears to have been stolen from the premises.
In what could be described as a stroke of luck for the residents, it seems that the would-be burglars may have been deterred by the presence of an alarm system.
Chief Risvold mentioned that although the alarm system was installed, it had not been armed at the time of the incident.
