Wayzata High School to Host Inaugural Faculty Appreciation Night during September 26 Home Game

PLYMOUTH, MN — Wayzata High School is set to debut its first Faculty Appreciation Night (FAN) as part of the Trojan football program on September 26 at 6:40 p.m. during the home game against Minneapolis North.

In a unique initiative, student athletes have nominated 42 esteemed staff members for recognition, acknowledging their significant contributions to the enrichment of Wayzata Public School students’ lives. The honorees will be celebrated during the game, each receiving a golden apple from the athlete who put forth their nomination.

Senior members of the football team, boasting a minimum of two years in Wayzata Public Schools, were tasked with nominating a teacher or district employee who played a pivotal role in providing meaningful guidance throughout their educational journey. The Faculty Appreciation Night aims to shine a spotlight on the dedicated staff who have positively impacted the lives of Wayzata students.

Stay tuned for updates on this inaugural event, highlighting the strong bond between student athletes and the dedicated faculty at Wayzata High School.
