Wayzata Public Schools invites district parents, residents, and staff members to actively participate in a community conversation aimed at charting the future course of the school district. Following the recent Futures Conference, this engagement opportunity is scheduled for Monday, May 5, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The session will take place in the media center of Central Middle School, located at 305 Vicksburg Lane, Plymouth.
The Futures Conference provided a platform for participants to contemplate the implications of future trends on the district. In this follow-up session, attendees will delve deeper into the outcomes of the conference and contribute additional insights to guide the district’s trajectory.
Key Focus Areas:
- Personalized Learning: Participants will explore action steps necessary for the district to advance personalized learning for all students.
- Global Connections: Discussions will revolve around action steps required to provide students with opportunities for global connections.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Attendees will consider action steps for the district to become more flexible, adaptable, and open to change.
Small-group discussions will be the cornerstone of this community conversation, generating valuable information to refine the district’s action steps. The insights and comments from each group will be summarized and reported back to the board for consideration.
This inclusive session is open to all parents, residents, and staff members, whether or not they attended the initial Futures Conference. Light refreshments will be provided to participants.
