Engines will roar and chrome will shine as the 4th Annual Wayzata Car Show takes over downtown streets on Sunday, September 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hosted by the Wayzata Masonic Lodge, the event has quickly become a community tradition, blending classic cars with small-town hospitality.
The family-friendly event invites car enthusiasts and casual visitors alike to enjoy a display of classic and modern cars, trucks, and motorcycles along Lake Street East, Minnetonka Avenue South, Indian Mound Street East, and Rice Street East.
Organizers promise something for everyone: live music, food trucks, and a showcase of classic vehicles. Visitors can also stop by another community favorite—the Wayzata Fire Department’s pancake breakfast, also taking place that day. The first 100 vehicles to arrive will receive dash plaques and a small goody bag, and trophies will be awarded for Best of Show, eight People’s Choice winners, and Best Motorcycle.
Car entries are welcomed with a free-will donation, with a suggested contribution of $15. All proceeds benefit scholarships for Wayzata High School seniors in the Class of 2025. Pre-registration is available online at wayzata205.org, and same-day registration begins at 9 a.m.
The event is free to the public and will be held rain or shine. “Bring the whole family for a fun day in downtown Wayzata,” organizers encourage.
