Your Wayzata Trojans (6-0, 2-0) rolled over the Edina Hornets (3-3, 1-2) tonight in Lake Conference action. Trojans QB Nick Martin ran for passed for two and ran for a third touchdown in the effort. Wide receiver Ethan Zeidler caught two passes during the game.

Your Wayzata Trojans (4-0) take on the Minnetonka Skippers (4-0) Friday night at Trojan Field in a Homecoming classic. Come early for a prefame festival on the Trojan Pride Plaza from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, and get a pulled pork sandwich, chips and pop from Dickey’s Barbecue Pit for only $6.00. Proceeds benefit the Wayzata Athletic Boosters to fund sports programs at Wayzata High School.
Watch the Trojans take on the Skippers, and during half time observe the homecoming royalty, and the Wayzata Marching Band. Oh, by the way, there is going to be a pretty good football game too! The Skippers will be looking for revenge after Wayzata’s last second win last year to capture the Bay Bell traveling trophy.

Your Wayzata Football Trojans defeated the Carmel Catholic Corsairs in a down and dirty contest this evening in Dubuque, Iowa. The win puts the Trojans at 4-0 on the season.

Your Wayzata Football Trojans are set to travel to Dubuque, Iowa to take on the Carmel Catholic Corsairs tomorrow night at the University of Dubuque.

It’s going to be a fantastic test for Trojans as Carmel runs triple option football. Last week against Marion Catholic, QB Brian Brennan had 8 carries for 50 yards including a 14 yard touchdown run. Running back Jordan Kos had 20 carries for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Mike Panico carried 16 time for 150 yards with two touchdowns.
Will the Wayzata defense be able to slow down the horses from Carmel? Can the offense put up enough points to win the game?

Your Wayzata Trojans football team (2-0) plays the Anoka Tornados (2-0) Friday night in a test of unbeaten teams early in the season. Anoka is much improved over last year, as the team won only two games all season.
Watch for the Trojans to build on their performances against Prior Lake and Eagan, as Coach Anderson no doubt spent time working on eliminating turnovers and mental mistakes this week in practice.

The Wayzata Trojans started off their season at Prior Lake, defeating the Lakers 47 – 20. The 2010 class 5A champion Trojans were able to continue their winning streak, with strong performances by quarterback Nick Martin and wide reciever Jeff Borchardt.

The MN Vortex 16 U Elite Fastpitch team just returned from a fabulous week at the USSSA National tournament in Overland Park, KS. The girls won 7 and lost 3 games, and placed 9th out of 66 teams in the 16 U division. They were also one of the last 3 MN teams in the final rounds AND, most impressively, they won the tournament’s Sportsmanship award and trophy in the 16U class!
“The presenter said they were the “classiest” team there,” indicate Jill Combs, “he had talked to coaches, umpires, and observed games.”
The entire team is from the Wayzata/Plymouth/Medina area – all but one are students at WHS; one player attends West Lutheran in Plymouth.
The co-head coaches are Missy Laatsch and Kaja Martinson; Kent Sticha is the assistant coach.
