For the first time in three games on Tuesday night, the Wayzata boy’s lacrosse team gave up a goal. After beating Hopking 16-0 on April 23 and Maple Grove 13-0 on April 25, the Trojans had to settle for a 10-9 victory over Eden Prairie.
It was a big win for the Trojans, who handed the Eagles their first loss of the season in seven games. With the victory, the Trojans improved to 4-3 on the season.
Senior attacker Ryan Macgregor continues to be a major offensive threat for the Trojans. He scored six goals and two assists in the win over Hopkins and then added four more goals in the win over Maple Grove.
Going into Tuesday night’s game against Eden Prairie, Macgregor had recorded 23 goals in just six games.
The Trojans will attempt to extend their winning streak to four games on Thursday, April 30 when they match-up against Armstrong.
