Wayzata Girls Soccer Shuts Out Rogers 6-0, Claims Fourth Straight Section Title

The Wayzata girls’ soccer team achieved their fourth consecutive section final victory by blanking Rogers with a 6-0 win. The Trojans displayed a balanced offense, as six different players found the back of the net. Mikayla Adams scored in the first half, while Meghan Sullivan, Tenley Senden, Ava Nayer, Grace Estby, and Alex Vellieux all contributed goals in the second half.

Wayzata now boasts an impressive 18-1-0 record as they prepare for the state tournament. They are determined to secure their first state championship since 2012. The Trojans eagerly await Saturday’s state tournament seeding to determine their opponent and location for the upcoming Class AAA state tournament quarterfinal match next week.
