Shop with a Purpose Day Aims to  Raise Funds to Prevent Homelessness

Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners’ 23rd annual Sleep Out campaign will hold its final public event, Shop with a Purpose (SWAP), on Friday, Dec. 14. This annual tradition was started by amazing local business leaders as a way to support the annual Sleep Out campaign. As a one-day retail and dining extravaganza, it has raised $40,734 for Interfaith Outreach over the years to help break down barriers to jobs, child care, education and more for local families and kids.

Local businesses participate by donating a portion of their one-day sales. To maximize the impact of customer purchases – new this year Real Estate Nation and RE/MAX Results will donate $5 for every Facebook check-in on Shop with a Purpose Day. Customers simply check in at the participating business on Facebook when they arrive and then tag Interfaith Outreach (@interfaithoutreachcp). That’s it – $5 will be donated to Interfaith for every Facebook check-in tallied. See list of businesses and offers at iocp.org/swap.
