The Wayzata Chamber is currently looking for a Director of Membership Services:

Primary Responsibilities
Membership Retention & Engagement
- Develop and foster relationships with Chamber members and key stakeholder
- Maintain a retention rate of 85% or otherwise designated
- Educate members on benefits offered, promotional and sponsorship opportunities, and relationship building in order to ensure success
- Collaborate with Membership Engagement Committee to retain current membership base and enhance member engagement opportunities
- Work with Ambassador Committee to welcome and encourage new member involvement
- Develop and implement member retention strategies
Membership Development
- Grow membership base through the strategic recruitment of new members
- Prospect development and maintenance of Master Prospect List
- Meet designated budgetary goals outlined by board of directors
- Consistently communicate Chamber brand and promote organizational mission to members, prospective members, and the greater community
- Collaborate with Membership Development Committee to recruit new members and develop growth strategies
Event Planning & Program Development
- Plan, coordinate, and recruit sponsors for Member Networking Opportunities (Luncheons, Seminars, Networking Events, New Member Breakfasts, etc.)
- Manage all Young Professionals activities (events, sponsorship recruitment, and member engagement)
- Manage all Wayzata Women in Business activities (events, sponsorship recruitment, and member engagement)
- Facilitate Lunch Net program
- Coordinate and schedule Ambassador Visits
- Coach member event hosts for successful implementation of events
- Plan the Roger Miller Golf Classic. Recruit sponsors and golfers. Meet revenue goals. Gather prizes for awards ceremony.
- Manage street banner program
- Manage online banner program
- Collaborate with Chamber President on the Exceptional Service Award of Excellence program
- Assist staff members with sponsorship recruitment, member participation, and execution of Community events: James J. Hill Days, Chilly Open, Wayzata Art Experience, and Summer Concerts
Administrative
- Update membership materials annually (membership application, membership brochure, sponsorship listing, committee listing, folders, videos, etc.)
- Maintain member database (ChamberMaster) and Email database (Constant Contact)
- Manage accounts receivable, member billing, member renewal process, and collections
- Generate membership reports using ChamberMaster
- Answer phone calls
- Greet and help Depot visitors
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Ability to build relationships and connect with a wide variety of people
- Sales, fundraising, sponsorship and revenue generation experience
- Creative thinker in problem solving and project planning
- Marketing and communications experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial perspective
- Self starter with ability to work independently or within a team
- Exceptional work ethic and professional presence
- Volunteer management and committee work experience
- Outstanding planning, organizational, project management and follow-through capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to members and non members alike
- Proficiency with current computer and online-based marketing programs (Microsoft Office , Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn)
- Promoter and supporter of small business and shopping local
- Chamber or association experience preferred, but not required
- Photoshop and video production experience a plus
- Valid MN Driver’s License, and must be willing to travel locally
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Assist with other duties as needed
