Pickenpack, Robert “Bob” J. age 89 of Plymouth. After a long illness he passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 1, 2011 with his family by his side.
Devoted husband of 65 years to wife, Catherine; loving father to Barbara (Lee) Lyons, Mark Pickenpack and Joan Pickenpack; granddady to Christy & Sarah, Michael & Christopher, Meghan, Lindsay, Brittany & Samuel, great granddaddy to Madison Joy.
Bob was born in Buffalo, NY on November 14, 1921. Graduated in 1943 from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY as the recipient of an honor’s scholarship in Chemistry. He joined General Mills in 1946 as the Quality Control Manager and was named Director of Quality Services for restaurants and non-food operations until his retirement in 1985.
Bob enjoyed his retirement years by traveling across the country golfing and spending time at his cabin. A true family man who deeply loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all.
Funeral service Friday August 5, 11AM at Wayzata Community Church, 125 East Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata. Visitation Thursday August 4 from 5-7 PM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata and 1 hour before the funeral on Friday at church.
Interment Summit Park Cemetery.
Memorials preferred to Wayzata Community Church or Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners (IOCP).
