Flinn, Marion P., 93, died on February 1, 2011 at her home in Tonka Bay, Minnesota.
She grew up in Chicago and attended Carleton College. She graduated from Northwestern University where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.
Her husband of 55 years, Dr. John H. Flinn, died in 1995.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family. She loved good food and cooking and worked in her garden as long as she was able. She gave generously of her time to the Braille Society, producing books for blind students. Her grandchildren adored her. She looked forward to having them each summer at her home on Lake Minnetonka where she spoiled them and taught them to fish. She was kind, gracious and beautiful in both appearance and spirit. She was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Krejci of Naporville, Ill.; three daughters, Lucy (Dennis) Cribben of Brooklyn, NY, Susan (Tom) Newberry of Woodland, Patricia (Bill) Flinn of Smoky Lake, Alberta, and a son, Peter (Margaret) of Dewittville, NY; grandchildren, Kelley Cribben, Catherine Cribben, Christopher Newberry, Sarah Newberry, Peter Newberry, Shannon Schreyer, Daniel Gibson, and Kevin Flinn; and three great-grandchildren, Austin Johnson, Georgia Marie Newberry and Jackson Schreyer.
Funeral service 3 PM Saturday, February 5, 2011 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata with visitation one hour prior the service.
Interment Groveland Cemetery, Minnetonka.
