The Wayzata baseball team got homeruns from seniors Billy Soule and Trent Holmquist on Friday afternoon and beat conference rival Minnetonka 11-9 to improve to 4-4 on the season. The Trojans are now 3-2 in Classic Lake Conference and just one game behind conference leading Hopkins.
Junior Dylan Kent went five and one third innings on the mound to earn the win. Kent gave up five runs, five hits, two walks, and struck out six.
Soule went 3 for 4 at the plate with a homerun, three RBI’s and two runs scored. Holmquist went 1 for 4 with the homerun and two RBI’s. Sophomore Sean Hamlin went 2 for 3 with three RBI’s.
The Trojans will play at Blaine on Saturday, April 25 and then at Hopkins on Monday, April 27.
