It was a successful weekend for both the Wayzata baseball and softball teams as both squads went undefeated to push their respective records about the .500 mark.
The softball team picked up its first victory of the season on Friday, April 17 with an 8-0 shutout over Rogers.
On Saturday, April 18 the team went 3-0 in the Henry Sibley Tournament to improve to 4-2 on the season. The Trojans pounded St. Anthony Village 22-1 in the first game of the tournament and then went on to beat Totino-Grace 1-0 and Lakeville South 7-4.
The team will look to build on its four-game winning streak on Monday when they host Classic Lake Conference foe Hopkins.
The Wayzata baseball team also has its first winning streak of the year after back-to-back victories over Edina and Minneapolis South.
The Trojans took care of Edina 3-2 on Friday, April 17 to improve to 2-2 on the season. They followed the Classic Lake Conference victory with an 11-2 win over Minneapolis South on Saturday, April 18 to move their record to 3-2.
The baseball team will also be in action on Monday when they host Robbinsdale Armstrong at 4:30 p.m.
