The Wayzata City Council discussed utilizing Twitter to help communicate with residents last evening.
City Manager Al Orsen distributed copies of an article at the behest of Mayor Willcox. “Other communities are tapping into using Twitter as a communication tool…” Orsen describe possible uses such as notification for clean-ups, road closures, etc. Edina, Falcon Heights, and Minnetonka are currently using Twitter.
Councilman Andrew Mullin said, “I think we should get after it!” Mayor Willcox indicated his approval as well.
