Wayzata City Clerk Sandy Langley in new leadership role

The Municipal Clerks and Finance Officers Association of Minnesota has appointed Wayzata City Clerk Sandy Langley as vice president of the 800-member organization.

Sandy, who has also served as treasurer and secretary, has 30 years of experience as a public employee. She is the City of Wayzata Deputy Clerk, as well as the Director of Communications.

According to Langley, “Every City Clerk in the State is part of the organization. This year I will be the Vice-President, and next year the President.”

The Veteran clerk from Wayzata also indicated MCFOA has an annual conference each March, and that the state is split into 6 regions that meet as much as possible.

“It’s a place for clerks to bounce ideas off each other, a resource.”, said Langley. Beyond being a resource for veteran clerks, the organization also helps new clerks become acquainted with the needs and skills necessary with a 3 year program. “After 30 years, I wanted to give back.”

Congratulations Sandy!
