From the Wayzata High School Parent Connection, a note from Mike Trweick, Principal at Wayzata High School:
Third term is coming to an end and then we are into the final stages of the school year. We are just ending our winter activities and all of our students have done a wonderful job of representing Wayzata High School. We thank them very much for their efforts.
Our High School Gala event was a success again this year. The evening was very enjoyable and financially successful with a Silent Auction, dinner, dancing, and a visit from Amy Klobuchar, our U.S. Senator. The community came together and rallied around making education in Wayzata High School a priority.
Thank you to all the donors who contributed to make this evening special for our students. Special thanks to the committee of Amy Vollendorf, Ann Brattain, Joni Larson, Jodi Olson, Lynne Patzelt, Jill Rush, Greg Rye, Lynn Vettel and Meg Lezama. Tim McNiff of KARE 11 helped emcee the event and we appreciate his time and talents. Thank you to the musicians of Unbridled, who provided great music all night. Lastly, a very special thank you to Kathy Beatty who, in my opinion, pulled this all together for us.
I also want to thank the many donors and the following sponsors for their contributions to the 2009 Gala –
Gold Sponsors – Anchor Bank, Lake Minnetonka Orthodontics, OnApproach, LLC, and TCF
Blue Sponsor – Center National Bank
Spring activities start in March and we want them to have a great experience, as well as wonderful weather. April and May are also big testing months for our students. Please check the website for dates and encourage your student to do the best they can with all of their testing.
We hope that everyone has a great and safe Spring Break.
