Wayzata Wins Minnesota State High School Mathematics League State Tournament

The Wayzata High School math team won the 2009 Minnesota State High School Mathematics League State Tournament on Monday, March 9 at South St. Paul High School.

Wayzata amassed 122 points at the state tournament which gave them a season total of 581 points. Eden Prairie finished second in the standings with 108 points at the state tournament and 526 points for the season.

Some of the top individual performers for the Wayzata math team this year were sophomore Rohit Agrawal, sophomore Gaurav Singh, sophomore Brian Tu, senior Minna Chen, junior Terry Lee, senior Arpit Panda, and junior Denise Chen.

Here were the results at this year’s state tournament:

3. Mounds View 104
4. St. Paul Central 104
5. Roseville 100
6. Maple Grove 94
7. Eagan 90
8. St. Cloud Tech 87
9. Eastview 76
10. Mpls. Southwest 76
