The Wayzata boys hockey team saw a two-game winning streak come to a halt on Saturday afternoon as they took a 7-0 defeat on the chin at the hands of the Edina Hornets.
The Trojans fell behind early as the Hornets scored four times in the first period and three more times in the second period. The Trojans were outshot 34-19 in the game.
The game marked the third time the Trojans have been shutout this season with two of the shutouts coming against the Hornets. When the two teams met just a few weeks ago on Jan. 22, the Hornets won 5-0.
The Trojans are now 13-7-1 overall and 2-3 in the Classic Lake Conference. They will look to get back into the win column on Tuesday, Feb. 10 when they go on the road to face Buffalo in a 7 p.m. face off.
