From the Wayzata Police Department:
A burglary occurred in the Highcroft area of Wayzata sometime last week. The burglar(s) entered the home through an unlocked door. Items taken were small enough to conceal without being noticed. It is not certain what day or time of day this took place.
Wayzata Police have received reports in the past week of unlicensed solicitors in the western portion of the city. This activity may or may not be related. Please report any solicitors in the city who do not have a permit issued by the city of Wayzata. This permit should contain the solicitor’s photo and the city of Wayzata logo. It should be displayed in plain view.
As an update to a crime alert sent on August 12, 2008 (thefts from vehicles), two women have been criminally charged in connection with vehicle break-ins at the Wayzata Yacht Club. Malissa Mae Quinn, 31 of Minneapolis and McKenzie Lee Schafer, 28 of Fridley were charged with financial transaction card fraud. Both are charged with using ATM and debit cards from at least two of the vehicle break-ins.
