For the third consecutive year, Punch Pizza in Wayzata (1313 Wayzata Blvd. E.) will donate 50% of the day’s proceeds to support Peter Larson, a sophomore at Wayzata High School. Peter is sleeping out every night of the 40-night campaign to raise $100,000 for IOCP’s housing efforts.

The 2009 IOCP Sleepout Kickoff was held last night at Klapprich Park in downtown Wayzata. Mike Pomeranz and Sven Sundgaard from Kare 11 did much of the emceeing. The Wayzata Cheerleaders helped to get the crowd going. TC Bear from the Twins, the Wayzata Trojans mascot, and McGruff the Crime Dog also helped with festivities.
