The Wayzata City Council adopted a resolution establishing a 25 mph school speed zone on Wayzata Boulevard at Broadway–aka the St. Bart’s School. The Wayzata City Council has approved a complex deal with the Vodegal family, wherein an agreement has been reached for the City to secure the parcels needed for the new Muni in exchange for the amount of $25,000.

I would like to express the gratitude of the entire Wayzata City Council to the more than 70 volunteers and city staff who participated in the city-wide flower plant-in Saturday. As a result of their efforts, Wayzata can now greet our summer visitors with the colorful flowerbeds that they have so long enjoyed.

The Wayzata City Council gave direction to City Staff last evening to prepare a resolution to reduce the speed limit to 25 mph during school hours on Wayzata Boulevard at Broadway from 35 mph. The motion passed 3-2 and included the following other measures to help reduce speed and increase safety:
