A train partially derailed in Wayzata Wednesday morning about 9:20. The incident occurred at 150 West Lake Street in an area of high end office buildings on the West end of town. Witnesses indicate part of the track was thrown into an office building on the scene. Approximately 15 cars were derailed.

Severe weather moved through Wayzata at around 6:45 on Friday evening. Torrential rain, including some hail was prevelent. A funel cloud was rumoured to have been in Long Lake, and hail the size of golf balls was reported in southern Plymouth.
