Gordy Engel and his family business The Foursome invited the Wayzata Community to a picnic in the parking lot of the locally famous mens clothing store on Saturday, September 26th, 2009. Engel toasted Wayzata with warm words, sparkling cider, hot dogs, chips, and soda for friends, family, and former employees. Three generations of Engels have operated the specialty store since 1955. Approximately 500 people visited the celebration, of which 50 were former employees.
In true community spirit, The Foursome donated 5% of their sales during the event to Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners.
