The Minnesota Crime Prevention Assocation and AAA Minnesota/Iowa is collaborating with local law enforcement agencies to sponsor Night to Unite, a program designed for residents to get to know one another and to bring community awareness to crime prevention and law enforcement efforts.

“I invite neighborhoods in every City and County throughout the state of Minnesota to become involved in Night to Unite activities.  This is an opportunity for neighborhoods and communities to band together, enjoy a summer evening and get to know who belongs in their neighborhoods,” Minnesota Crime Prevention President Terry Thomton said in a press release.

The Wayzata Police Department plans to participate in Night to Unite on August 4, but details are yet to be announced.
